How did we do it?
LACIE 1.0 services began in 2009 as an provider-lead initiative with Heartland Health (now Mosaic Life Care) and Northwest Health Services, with SSM Health St Francis joining soon after as an early adopter. LACIE selected the Cerner ® Clinical Exchange Platform for a vendor and technology to help ensure data security, patient privacy, and adherence to nationally recognized standards in health data exchange.
With a Single Click
Through LACIE, your organization will be able to view a variety of consolidated medical data to include, but not limited to: lab results, radiology information, medication history and allergies through a CCD, “Continuity of Care Document”. With a single click, clinicians display critical information when and where they need it most. Sharing health information with other providers also helps reduce costs by eliminating the unnecessary duplication of tests and procedures.
LACIE is a hybrid standards based HIE, which utilizes existing standards (IHE, HL7, HITSP) to exchange data. LACIE’s Nationwide Health Information Network gateway will allow you to connect to other State exchanges as well as the federal government to ensure proper care of all patients.
